🌿 He Healed Me: A Testimony of God’s Faithfulness
How God used illness to bring me back to His healing power.
Have you ever walked through a season where you did everything you could — and nothing seemed to help?
For the last three years, that’s been my story. It’s been a journey through sickness, searching, and surrender. But it’s also been a journey back to Jesus.
I want to share how God met me in the middle of my weakness, healed me in His perfect timing, and reminded me that He’s still the Great Physician.
My Story
Over the last three years, I’ve faced some very serious health struggles — the kind that leave you exhausted and searching for answers.
The doctors did their best, but they were puzzled. Nothing seemed to help.
During that time, I realized something important: I couldn’t do life on my own anymore.
I had tried for so long to handle things myself, thinking I had it all figured out.
But out of sheer desperation… I turned back to Jesus.
As my physical health continued to decline, something unexpected began to happen — my spiritual health started to grow.
I began spending my mornings in the Word, praying, and journaling what God was showing me.
And that became my favorite part of the day.
Finding a Church Home
When my husband and I came to Marlbrook, we were searching for a church home.
We hadn’t had one in a very long time, and honestly, we were nervous.
But the moment Pastor John started preaching — straight from the Bible, not opinion, but truth — we both knew this was where God wanted us.
This past year, I’ve been learning how to care for my health more naturally and, more importantly, how to trust God completely in the process.
Then, on October 25th 20205, I felt the Holy Spirit speak to me — clearly — telling me not to take one of my medications.
I hesitated. I argued a little. But the peace in my heart was undeniable… so I obeyed.
The very next day, we came to Communion.
I was so tired I almost didn’t go — but something told me I needed to be there.
During the service, as Pastor John spoke, I reflected on how my pride had once driven a wedge between me and God.
And I prayed — “Lord, if You think I’m ready, please heal me. But above all, let Your will be done.”
Immediately after taking Communion, I felt something change.
My exhaustion lifted.
The fog in my mind cleared.
The pain that had been constant for years… was gone.
A Week Later
It’s now been a week — and I’m still free of that pain and fatigue.
I truly believe Jesus healed me.
I give Him all the glory — for the healing, for the growth, and for bringing me closer to Him through it all.
He has been so faithful.
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.”
— Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)
Walking Forward in Faith
This experience reminded me that healing doesn’t always come the way we expect it — but it always comes from the same source: Jesus.
He meets us where we are, even when we’re weary, and He restores what only He can.
If you’re walking through your own season of pain or uncertainty, I want to encourage you — don’t stop seeking Him.
He still heals. He still restores. And He still answers prayer.
This testimony has deepened my faith and inspired me to keep writing about the connection between spiritual healing and physical renewal. It’s also part of what led me to create the 40 Days of Health and Healing Journal — a devotional journey through Scripture, prayer, and reflection to strengthen your walk with Jesus in difficult seasons.
If this post blessed you, I’d love to hear your story, too.
Have you experienced God’s healing — physically, emotionally, or spiritually?
